SOLO in Conway

Dear Knowledgeable ones:

I’m taking a SOLO WFA course at the SOLO facility in Conway. I have several driving options with which to take.

1.Leaving Thornton on Rt. 49 to 93 north to 112 east into Conway. 51 miles.

2.Leaving Thornton on Rt. 49 to 175 south to 113 east into Conway. Mileage unknown.

3.Leaving Thornton over Sandwich Notch Rd to 113 east into Conway. Mileage unknown.

The Kanc might be the easiest, but is it the shorts?

Any thoughts?

I've done similar trips myself as I live in North Conway while my girlfriend was going to school at Plymouth State and her parents live in North Sandwich. Most of the time I opt for the Kanc route. It seems to be quicker, even if it may be a little longer. If you get caught behind a slow car on Rt 113 between Holderness and Sandwich, the drive can take forever.

Good luck with the WFA class. I would like to take that at some point.

I93 to the Kanc, hands down. Nice drive, enjoy the scenery, fastest route. Might be some leaf peepers, but they're going to be out regardless of the route.

Just don't buy gas in Lincoln. Got to be the most expensive town in NH for petrol. If you need gas, go over to N. Woodstock - just north past the Inn on the left (Citgo?) - it's not too bad.

I would agree with the Kanc route. If you do stop for gas at Citgo, they did have a meat market " Waynes Market" inside. You may want to pick up a steak on the way home. IMO they were cheaper and better than Hannaford. Good luck.
