South Carter via 19 mile Brook, Carter Dome, and Carter-Moriah trails.
Date of Hike: 3/1/09
Trail Conditions: 19 mile Brook Trail hard packed, Carter Dome trail mostly hard packed to Zeta Pass. Carter Moriah trail north not broken.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes required for unpacked trail section, poles useful.
Comments: Bare booted 19 Mile Brook and Carter Dome trails to Zeta Pass. Broke Carter Moriah Trail north to South Carter. Ran out of energy and time to break trail to Middle Carter. Great day for hiking, little wind and some sun.
