South Meadow Area

South Meadow area North East of the Adirondack Loj area.

Is there parking and camping available there? The map shows campsites. Any info on this area would be greatly appreciated.

There are many (6, 8, 10?) car camping sites near the trailhead about 2 miles down the road with several privies as well. Lot's of parking either at sites or on the roadside. You can access Marcy Dam, and also Klondike Notch and the JBL area from the last trailhead on the road. Can make for a nice backpacking loop.
