South Meadows Road Gated this Year?

Last year the South Meadows Rd. was blocked at Adk. Mt. Loj Rd. Anyone know whether the barriers are in place again this year?

Yes two cement barriers are presently blocking the South Meadow Road. Even yesterday the parking area was busy with skiers and climbers like us looking to save on parking fees at the Loj.

Like Black Spruce says there are two barriers as I noticed them last Friday. Not a lot of parking there if you want to ski to avoid the 10 dollar parking fee for non members WOW I could not believe it was that much in winter At least the money goes to a good cause!

And the ADK member parking fee at the HPIC is now $5 per day (but the men's room is all new and really nice...)

HMMM...they failed to mention that price increase in the recent membership renewal request. They probably got tired of having to make change in the store.
