Date of Hike: 2/13/10
Trails: Nineteen-Mile Brook, Carter Dome, Carter-Moriah, Wildcat Ridge
Trail Conditions: Nineteen-Mile brook trail to Carter Dome has some ice at the beginning and in a few other spots along the brook but is packed down solid, light traction is a good idea. Carter Dome trail is packed well, micospikes are fine. Snowshoes for Carter-Moriah Trail between Middle Carter and Carter dome, expect some minor drifts between South and Middle. Descent down to Carter Notch use what is most comfortable for you on those steep parts (I used snowshoes, then spikes, and a little sliding). Snowshoes the way to go for Wildcat Ridge
Comments: Cloudy day until noon then skies opened up for some awesome views. Ran into Bill at the hut and then we hiked along with Jeremy and Eric for the hike through wildcats, lots of fun, thanks for the ride back to the car guys!
