A group was hiking from Caps Ridge to Edmund's Path but I was running late so I decided to hike up Edmund's path and Crawford Path until I met them and hike with them for the rest of the hike. The group included Sabrina and Tara (Una dogger), Valeri (Tim'n'Val), Mark (Silverfox), and Andrea from Michigan.

Edmund's Path is a favorite of mine...

a view south toward Mt. Eisenhower from the "Plateau of Tranquility" ( my name for the area of ridge around Mt. Franklin...noone stops and gathers because there aren't any features or "objectives" so they keep moving through, making the area remarkably quiet) I like to hang around this area.

a view of the western part of the headwall of Oak's Gulf from Mt. Franklin...

a view from Little Monroe, one of my favorite places...

I guessed I would meet the group at Lakes. Sure enough. Meb appeared as we all rested at the hut.

L to R is Meb, Andrea, Mark, Tara, Valerie, and Sabrina...

The group had decided to bail down Ammanoosuc Ravine so I joined them for a nice hike down the ravine...

Oakes Gulf is such a neat area. I feel like people don't normally hike into there because they are so busy on the other side. You should takes some treks down there before your move! I still cannot believe you are moving, wow. :)

Great pictures as usual, and its great to see you are taking solo hikes, and with people too. It adds a special dynamic to the hike.
