:eek: No, this isn't anything I'm planning on doing any time soon...

From 8 to 9pm tonight Nova on PBS is airing "Descent into the Ice",

" “Glacionauts” dive into glacial water wells on Mont Blanc in the Alps to search for hidden “lakes” that could give way and inundate villages below."

Looks like a good lead-in to watch before the EVER EVER REST REST REST show. Ice climbing, spelunking and ice cave scuba diving into glaciers !

That's too tame for me.

Personally I only get a rush nowadays from biking inside glacier lakes infested with man-eating sharks. It's kind of hard to bike under freezing water... but that just ads to the challenge.
 
I think I've seen that program on PBS before, it's pretty cool and some really nice (and cold) shots of the underwater flows underneath glaciers... Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, I believe it is a repeat.

Not exactly a sport for the cautious...
