Hiked these via their only trail. Spruce is a fire tower peak located in the southern Adirondacks, and Hadley is also a fire tower peak.
Trail Conditions: Both were quite wet, though not much mud has developed yet. Spruce is completely devoid of snow on the trail; Hadley has quite a bit of snow left in the higher altitudes, between one to six inches. The snow is avoidable if skirted to the side, but this will cause more erosion so please be considerate of that. Much of the time the trail is simply a small stream, often flowing though leaf debris or over bare rock.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes are not needed any more, but I would certainly recommend waterproof boots and gaiters. Poles are also nice for stability on the slippery rock and soft snow.
Comments: Trip report to follow, more info there.
