Started from middle flow dam on a compass bearing of ....then... till we were on a ridge which we took to a great lookout to the west. On the way we were surprised and treated to seeing mommy bear and her 2 babies climb down a tree not more than 20 ft in front of us! Very cool!!! Not one of us got a picture!
From the lookout we followed the path to the summit and some great views of Hadley Mt .The return trip was down another ridge which took us past some awesome cliffs and alot of bear sign! O NO!!
We ended up being almost right on track with the pre-planned route....Thanks Norm!!
If you go bushwacking make sure you know how to use a compass and map and how to read the topography.
