Just to note that there is no longer a dry crossing at Indian Brook (at least anywhere near the herd path). Water was not running high or fast, but not many dry rocks to stand on. Trail up to both summits was well packed. The NYE sign is in the middle of the clump of trees (though the packed trail makes a circle right around the summit). Gore-tex boots and gaiters and poles are pretty necessary as are snowshoes. Snow is deep and soft. Consideration for other hikers is much appreciated at this time of year. Two beautiful days in a row.
