I climbed Table Top a few summers ago and as you walk past the summit there are some good views. How much snow do we need to get the great views in winter? Are the views good yet or is there not enough snow?

Thanks,
ADAM

It used to be that the only good views from Tabletop were in the Winter, and you needed a bunch of snow (a lot more than we have now, the kind of snow where the canister is under it, even though it's seven feet up in the Summer).

The world has changed. The canister is gone. The snow is gone (at least this year!). And the summit has seen so much traffic that there are Summer herd paths out to viewpoints (one in particular has a great view of Haystack). I haven't been up there this year, but I would imagine you can find those paths in Winter, and get some views even with our sparse snow.
