congrats to Jean, Nathalie and HarryK for wrapping up the New England Hundred Highest on Goose Eye sunday !

they couldn't have picked a better day weather-wise ... um, well, at least there were some fun friends there to celebrate with them :)

13 lucky fools made our way up Success Pond Road, found our way up Goose Eye Trail under rainy skies, through fresh clear-cut and across raging rivers to reach the peak, where we toasted Team Canada with summit brews amid limited views

wrapped up the day with post-hike dinner and brews at Mr Pizza in Gorham

posted pics online, adding a few pics from our kayak trip down Magalloway River the previous weekend:

pics look much better if you click on the "View Full Size" link under each picture

Congratulations to all three of you! Wish we joined you but I knew the water crossings would not be fun and now that I see Arm's pictures, YIKES!!! (thanks for the pics Arm)

Congratulations Team Canada!

That was a great hike! Thanks for letting me tag along and share in your celebration.

Thanks everybody! We had a grand time (especially with the water crossings).
Like Poison Ivy said, we'll definitely have to go back on a clear day.

Thanks to all the friends who joined us on this special day: hikethe115, bonnie, nancy, arm, skimom, donna, spongebob, swamp, bob, sir edmund.

Special thanks to Arm for the celebration beverage delivery and certificate and to Spongebob for the NEHH badge.

What's next? Well, there's always another list isn't there? ;)

In the short term, Nat and I are training for Aconcagua in January. We'll also be chipping away at the winter ADK46 and the NH52 peaks-with-a-view and sloooooooowly working on the NE770 (but don't tell Nat cause she doesn't know about it yet :D ). If only that darn work thing wasn't in the way.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to all three of you...it was a really fun day! and my first time on Goose Eye.

Jean, hope I can get some of those winter ADK46ers with you.

And Arm, nice job with putting their picture on every brew bottle...that was really creative of you...

Oops, I asked the question on another thread before seeing this, now I got my answer  Anyway, félicitations Jean et Nat pour ce remarquable et rare accomplissement (du moins chez les Québécois). I think Nat is the first female Quebecer to complete this list. Way to go!

See you tomorrow :D

Nice work fellow countrymen (and women). I didn't even know there was a NEHH (how's that for naive, eh?)
Looks like we'll have lots to celebrate tomorrow!

Congratulations to you all! This has been another banner year for personal achievements, and the NEHH are truly one to be proud of.
:)

All hail the rainmakers!!!

September 2004: Jean and Nat finish the 115 in a deluge in the Catskills!

October 2005: Jean and Nat finish the NEHH in a deluge in New England!

If this keeps up, I won't be joining you for any winter hikes! :D :D :D

Don't worry Tom!
There won't be any rain in our winter hikes...just 7 ft deep spruce traps.
:p

Indeed Neil, we will have something to celebrate tonight.
Congrats to you, by the way, you sure pick a nice peak to finish on.

P.S. I almost forgot to formally thank Dawn for the champagne and chocolate. I'll make sure Harry gets his share. :D

About time you all finished freaking slackers. I have had fun hiking with Team Canada on several hikes. They always have good food, so putting up with them is worth it. One of these days I will get a view on Goose Eye. Arm came thru again with a great beer delivery. Next time making the hike "Dawn" free would be appreciated.
