The peaks were my and my son's (Gorpburp) official #28,29 and 30.

We left the parking lot at Waterville Valley at 3:30. We saw hikers coming off the mountain leaving the trails just to us and the birds. We reached the peak by 5:30 to see the late afternoon sky. We cmae down the ski trail stopping for a berry or two along the way. At one point we had a flock of darkeyed juncos flying before us. After we got to the car before 7 we drove out rt 42 to rt 3. I showed my son my old stomping grounds. We pulled into the KOA after nine and hooked up with the Flags on the 48 crew sitting around the fire. We stayed up chatting with everyone.

The next morning we left for the trailhead on Rt112. We started about 9:15 and soon we ran into the East Oceola team and hiked with them to thier peak. We pushed on and hit Osceola by 11:40. Plenty of time to see the A10 flyby. It was a pleasure to meet The CTTrampers and others who were participating in the event.

It was such a wonderfull day. I guess so many tears were shed on 9/11/2001 that we should have sunny days to memorialize it.

We hiked off the mountain and headed up to Mooseland to say hey and grab a burger. We couldn't stay long because of the drive home. We are always looking forward to our next trip.
