The new issue of New Hampshire Fish and Game's "Wildlife Journal" features a nice article by Dave Anderson from SPNHF on "The Bear Necessities." (The article can be read for free online at the link.) The article is introduced with a photo of a bear munching a wildflower.

That's a nice little magazine. I'm glad I subscribed to it and I'm always happy to support Fish & Game.

And speaking of local rags, there's a new one appearing at a lot of stores in the Whites called "New Hampshire Outdoor Gazette". I got my first copy yesterday and there's all kindsa good stuff in it about hiking, hunting, fishing, paddling, wildlife and conservation issues. I think it's a monthly. Pick up a copy for a buck.
