Ok, not a major trip, but I took a walk/drive around to see the flooding and to see how the woods in town faired. Thankfully the woods are pretty much fine around here, but some of the roads are not so good. If anyone is interested in the pics, check them out. They are all in the town of Chester, NH.

what i'd like to see is the Merrimack and how thats rushing along. these do show quite a mess that'll be fun to clean up. now that we got a month's worth of rain in a few days its time for dry sunny conditions for hiking! :D

coming up... a coworker snapped some pic of the river in Manchester, it was up to nearly the top step at Arms Park (can't find that picture, darn it) & had completely flooded the new bridge-base-under-construction at Granite St & was a few inches below the brick patio at Jillian's. (as they are not my pics, I'm not posting them)

one of our buildings (on Commercial St) is expected to get power restored perhaps on Friday.

Here's some I took on Monday afternoon of the river up at the PSNH overlook (zillions of people were stopping by to look, it was like Niagara Falls). The best vantage point is driving across the amoskeag bridge (some of those islands on the west side of the river were just being constantly hammered by whitewater!) but you can't stop & take photos there.

river is still very high.

Here are a few shots of the mighty Merrimack from Tuesday 5/16. This is the new bridge construction on Granite Street. On Monday the river was running over the top of the temporary construction bridge. You can still still see all the debris on top of the temp bridge. The normal water flow is usually 10-15 feet (maybe more) below this temp bridge.
