Date of Hike: Saturday 2/16/08
Trail Conditions: The Greeley Pond trail to the Osceola trail was semi-broken but there was some fresh powder that fell overnight. Osceola trail had been bare-booted sometime after Wednesday's storm all the way past Osceola. There are many low hanging, snow covered branches on the trail.
Special Equipment Required: Poles and snowshoes. Maybe crampons on the chimney but we bare-booted.
Comments: Absolutely beautiful day. The temps hovered around 10* with no wind on this sheltered trail. Although the trail had been bare-booted it is now broken with snow shoes all the way to Osceola. The snow up there is unbelievably deep. The blazes are just above snow level.
