The Seward Range, D-E-S 2/7/13
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I managed to get back up to the Seward Range yesterday to hike Donaldson, Emmons and Seymour (I did Seymour last Sunday). It was a great chance to get in the Coreys Road one last time before the snow storm and finish the Sewards.
I met a man at the trailhead who was heading up to do Donaldson and Emmons. Nobody else there. We both hiked via the Calkins Brook Herd Path.
I Microspiked to about 3500', then switched to snowshoes for the rest of the day. Seward wasn't broken out recently, but there was only about 6 inche of snow.
The sun came out as the day went on, and there was absolutely no wind. With great trail conditions I did the 3 in about 8-1/2 hours.
