Trail Conditions : Lower Avalon mostly dry with some slick rock between the brook crossings..Brook crossings fine but some of the rocks right at water level. Heading up Avalon some sporadic black ice appears though easy to get around. Past the Spur some of the ledges wet..some of the ledges icy but easily stepped around..Most of the trail dry with some Frozen Mud
Willey Range Trail: aside from a couple of short wet spots descending towards Tom the rest of the trail dry and easy going
Mt Tom Spur; Recent ice melted..some mud in the sun towards the top
A-Z Trail in fine shape..brook crossings easy
Equipment: nothing special..had the microspikes but did not need them today
Comments: Windy with some wild wind in the notch..stretch from Field to Willey almost calm and warm..some nice views opened up later in the day from Field and tom..Enjoyed hiking with brian on the descent
