This event should be much much better from the west coast, but it still will be viewable in the east. Set your alarm clocks for EARLY.

On the east coast we can see it as well, but our time is limited it will start to eclipse at 4:51am and Finish at 5:52am, however the sun rises at 6:01 so we won't be able to enjoy it for long.
