Route: Up the VanHoevenburg Trail to the herd path leading up TR. The herd path is between the 50 meter bridge and the herd path to Tabletop.

Trail Conditions: The VanHoevenburg trail was broken out all the way to the herd path. Compacted snow along the entire trail. Snowshoes are helpful above Marcy Dam. The herd path up TR is relatively easy to follow as long as you know where it starts. The spruce is thick on the summit which makes for slower going and it can be a bit difficult to follow the herd path near the summit.

Special Equipment: Snowshoes. Normal winter gear.

Comments: Don't go to TR if you want a view. It's a nice mountain if you like bushwhacking and don't want to see a lot of people.
