Hi guys...

Ok...so, got rained out of Kathadin this week (SURPRISE!)

Hoping to try again Thurs/Friday in the Presis...

Hoping to do Jefferson and around there...staying at the Perch...

How are the trails with all this wet weather...water crossings...stuff like that? Also...bugs?

Thanks for the info...just want to make an INFORMED hiking choice :)

Trails can get a little... wet but are generally perfectly safe - more boulders than slabs. On the trip where I took that photo I turned around due to zero visibility above treeline (and hail and rain), not due to footing.
To stay away from possibly slippery slabs, stay out of King Ravine and the Great Gulf, and use a little common sense on the Caps and the Castles.
I don't recall stream crossings that would be a problem, but check your map.

The good thing about rain is it wrecks insect wings.
