Well, last weekend was the annual Trail Days event in Damascus. For those of you not famaliar with it, its a celebration of all things Appalachian Trail, and Damascus is a perfect location since the AT passes right through town. For a whole week, hikers from all over the country invade this little town. I was hoping to run into some VFTTers, namely Michelle and Post'r Boy, but they apparently decided to keep HIKING. Pshaw.

As usual, Billville (my friends) set up camp at Trail Days. Despite the frequent thrunderstorms, it was a GREAT weekend. Some people went up to Whitetop Mtn and dia a very large cleanup of bottles, cans and other trash. The renegade parade was just fantastic. Lots of highlights, lots of good people.

The following album is a bunch of photos that I took at Trail Days. Mostly, there is a LOT of general silly behavior. However, if you are easily offended (there are couple of pictures of pictures of nekkid butts) you might want to skip this album. Otherwise, enjoy the duct-tape costumes, the ridiculous gear contest and BooBoo's Big Adventure.

And since everything we do has to be a contest, I present to you a few photos RIPE for some good comments:

There seems to be an issue with the server or the link.

Hurry up and fix it, I want to see the pics!

Fixed! That will teach me for copying and pasting from another site!

No "Love Wagon"?

Nope - Love Wagon stayed home for this trip. I just didn't want to use the time off that driving to Damascus would have required. As soon as Monsoon Season ends, tho, I plan to have the wagon parked at Cherry Mountain Road quite a few weekends this year.

Awesome shots. I'm going to have to hike the AT just so I can go to Trail Days...
