Trip Report On The New England Farewell To Alpinista

Since this is a "trip report" with lots of hikers involved, I felt it best to post it in the Trip Report section, why not?

Ok, so many of us showed up that we were amazed and we had a ton of fun. We had 7Summits, Donna, Bunchberry, ChanelGirl, McRat, Dave Metsky, SherpaK, Bobby, Stan, LarryD, AMSTony, Alpinista, and MichaelJ. If I missed anyone chime in!

Alpinista showed up late, making her grand entrance with ChanelGirl at 6:15 PM.

That was actually better, since the beer and chicken wings and fries flowed heavily prior to her arrival.

Bobby got her card from a few of special hiker buds, and 7Summits made one that we all signed.

Someone bought her a RED SOX Shirt, which we all signed and forced her to wear, and Bobby bought her a NY Yankees hat. She wore the Red Sox apparel, probably for the first and last time ever in her life!

After we escaped the event at 9:00 PM, Bobby and several others were so upset they decided to drown their sorrows in more beer.........

We left for NYC at 10:30 PM that night, and she arrived at her new place with the 2 cats, who meowed the whole 4 1/2 hour trip.......... We drove past Yankee Stadium on the major Deegan at 2:00 and she was so excited she almost woke me up!! She moved in on Friday morning at 8:30 AM with 4 hours sleep.

Then she got her escort into the City by NY's Finest!!!! Which took some arranging with my contacts!!!!!!!! See that JPEG.

Then we drank allot more beer and wine at Manhattan high end spots that only an EDITOR would go too.

Then it was back home, and she made me pay for the taxi to Brooklyn!

This is the last set of the Boston event..................but then we kept partying in Manhattan!

And Then We Had To Inspect A Manhattan Bar

So then we went into the city, hitting the Village area and its environs. Since I was with a high powered EDITOR , we didn't pay for any beer or wine all night , seriously - nothing........

Even the suit and tie group with folks from CAPE COD who spilled a few drops of a drink on Alpinista bought us beer!

no, i'll shoot them to Alpinista at some point for her web shots. I had a virus thru webshots that killed my computer so i avoid it.

as for misnaming, it was a week ago and age is possibly a factor now......
