Hiked the Pine Bend Brook Trail. Trailhead was a bit difficult to find as there’s not much of a parking spot.
For those who are interested; once you take exit 32 its exactly 18.8 miles east on route 112, look for it on the right. We didn’t see any self-service fee station for parking at this location.
Lower end of the trail was a bit wet thus lots of small black flies and mosquitoes. All streams were easy to cross across rocks without the need to remove boots, etc.
We needed to navigate around a few fallen trees on the North side of North Tripyramid between 3200 and 3600 feet, otherwise the trail was in very good condition.
Total distance from the Kancamagus highway (Rt112) trailhead to the peak of Middle Tripyramid is 5.0 miles.
You will get to North Tripyramid at about 4.2 miles. We did not hike out to South Tripyramid as it was not part of the 48 peaks.
