date of hike; 11-19-09.
tr. conditions;all trails dry and nice except mt.tripyramid trail below the south slide was slighty muddy with a couple of blowdowns,stream crossings in that area might get a little hairy with any more rain.south slide was dry and hot[like the beach with all the sand].did the trad. loop with scaur alternative;livemore/scaur ridge/pine bend brook/mt.tripyramid and back out livemore.
spec. equipment;none needed.
comments;got idea for hike from post on this site,thanks!looked for others only saw two dudes from maine who came up from the kanc,very friendly.glad I skipped going up the north slide, it looked steep through the hardwoods.going down south slide was amazing.Starting up the scaur ridge tr. I switched to tshirt and sunhat and wished I had shorts,nice day...
