Date of hike: 21 July 2008
Trails: Pine Bend Brook up N. Tripyramid and across to col, then Tripyramid loop trail over Middle and South and back over Middle, Sabbaday trail down and then short road walk.
Conditions: wet rocks, roots and especially plants, though not as puddly as expected. The steep upper sections of both Pine Bend and Sabbaday, esp Pine Bend, really need a little brushing, The trail is so narrow and closed in with trees that I was soaked. Rain held off until last 20 minutes or so despite a poor forecast . No views from summits; limited views lower down.
stream crossings numerous but ok.
Lower sections of trails and trail between peaks is lovely, soft footbed, green.
Special equipment: shoes with good traction for upper sections and scrambles near summits, rain gear
