The usual nartreb day-hike silliness: drive up from Boston, begin hike by 9:30 AM, hike a fast enough pace to be down by dark or reasonably soon thereafter (but bring a lamp).
Taking the obvious Livermore trail - Tripyramid trail loop route (clockwise) from the Waterville Valley trailhead at the end of rte 49. 11 trail miles, 7 hrs book time. Possible tricky spots: N Tripyramid slabs and S Tripyramid slide.
