Livermore Road mostly clear and dry with some lingering ice patches in shady areas and a few soft muddy sections. Scaur Ridge Trail was bare ground until a couple hundred yards before it turns to the right and starts ascending the ridge. I put on snowshoes here which stayed on all the way to Middle summit for traction and to avoid postholing. Trail was surprisingly firm all the way and stayed mostly solid until descending back down the Scaur Ridge Trail.
Nice cool breeze on the ridge and summits with great views from the lookouts. Saw only one other hiker who had come up the Sabbaday Brook Trail and had stories of difficult stream crossings and waist deep postholing on the steep sections. Felt like a mid summer hike on the walk out.
