Date: May 20
Sabbaday Brook Trail to North Trip: trail was mostly dry; water levels were reasonable for rock-hopping the many crossings; a few blowdowns
Kate Sleeper Trail: more blowdown but easy to follow; some deep snow patches (just walked through or on the edges); tons of moose poop (must be a favorite winter hangout); a nice wilderness trail which is not beat to death like so many others
Whiteface to Passaconaway (Rollins/Diceys): trail was clear, mostly dry, with very few patches of snow.
Sq. Ledge/Passa Cutoff/Oliverian Bk: all trails in good shape, a little wet lower down
Walk up Rt 112 to Sabba TH: a real bummer after enjoying the quiet of the woods all day!
No need for any special gear on this route. I would not want to drink the water, however, in places frequented by moose.
