Hike: Twins, Galehead, & Garfield Traverse

Date: June 18, 2011 - Saturday

The forecast for Saturday looks like we have a pretty good day coming up. Sue and I are planning a Twins, Galehead, & Garfield Traverse. Starting at the trailhead for North Twin Trail on Haystack Road and ending at the trailhead for Mt. Garfield Trail on Gale River Road.

Car Spot Help….

Alternately, is anybody planning to be moving around the area early and able to help with a car spot assist?

Our plan would be to leave our vehicle at Mt. Garfield trailhead and hike from the trailhead for North Twin Trail on Haystack Road.

Trail work???? You what is said about all work and no play? Something to think about.

I need to clean the waterbars from the winter and do some brushing so the trail doesn't look like a car wash. I used to be able to do it in one trip when I had help, yet for the past three years I'm been doing the work solo and have to split it up into two trips. You and Sue are welcome to help.

Plenty of primitive camping spots along Gale River Rd -- no fee charged.
Head up the night before!!

I'd like to but I usually spend Friday night with my son and don't want to let him down.
