Unknown Pond Trail - winter road closures?

If I remember correctly, the Unknown Pond Trail in the Pilot Range has winter road closure at both trailheads -- the fish hatchery and coming in from Stark. Does anybody know how much of a roadwalk this adds? I am more interested in the Stark approach. I thought it was just over a mile, but perhaps things have changed?

I don't know about the other end, but the fish hatchery is open during the winter so you can drive right to the trailhead.

The gate at the fish hatchery also stays open in winter.

The trailhead is less than a mile from the gate at the Stark end, however there is no particular reason to suspect that the road is plowed to the gate since nobody lives out there. Unless there is logging so it is plowed (or a lack of snow such that plowing isn't necessary) it is maybe another 3-4 miles from the last year-round house to the gate.
