Hiked up Vly and Bearpen from the north, via the old road to the col between the two. Little snow down low and only 3-4 inches up high with spots up to twice that. A bit slick in spots but no traction devices necessary for ascent. Some people may find them worthwhile for the descent from the col on the road though. Lots of snow on overhanging branches made the overgrown start of the trail from Bearpen to the Delaware County highpoint 3/4 mile west a back-chilling proposition.
