Laurie 'needed' Vly for June and Spring. The best I could say was that I needed it for my 9th round, but I'm still working on the 8th, 7th, 6th, and 5th!
Anyway, after her son and g.f. left around noon, we needed something short and sweet, and since rain was forecast, we chose short and sweet Vly.
Again, the herd path here is in better shape than the PHWB trail. And no Mike, not a single nettle, nor pricker was seen!
We got rained on for about 1 minute, at the trail head, so much for the 95% chance of T-storms that were predicted!
No views today, and Laurie left her camera behind thinking that would be the case. But of course, with the parking lot still in sight, she suddenly stops and gasps! I thought she must have seen a snake, but it was a baby Fawn, about 2 feet from the road!
After a video and 2 pics, it got up and ran off, and then we herd Mama snorting at us, so we moved on.
The summit has been visited by at least 1, probably more ATVs! Since Mr. Can Man had just been up there yesterday, I assume he is aware...
