I coach a Special Olympics soccer team and each October we've taken a handful of athletes (young adults in their 20's) on a hiking trip. In the past we've stayed at such places as Goose Pond cabin (AT in Berkshires), Greenleaf Hut and the Youth Hostel in Conway and done a variety of day hikes.
The group is coed and a female friend has always volunteered to help with the trip. She is unable to join us this year.
Seeking s or m f for outdoor escapade, preferably with hiking exp, first aid cert, car ... sounds like a personals ad doesn't it?
Our plans and reservations for this year are not complete, they depend in part upon whether and who we get to volunteer with us. This group is capable of a moderate pace or better, but our pace has varied with the particpation and we are very flexible in this regard, and is a lot of fun. We also like to eat well on these trips but cook only if we must.
