Whale Watch Wait, been there, done that, got the T-Shirt!
The first time I tried to hike Carrigan we got to the section where it drops off on both sides of the trail, and stopped for lunch. It was so foggy that we couldn't see anything but a few feet of trail and a few feet on either side of the trail, had no idea how steep it was on either side. We decided to turn back. The next time I did it, on a crisp clear mid October day, Cath's Birthday in fact, I got to that section and just chuckled. You can SEE the tower from there! It was really a learning experience for me to CHECK THE MAP.
