Wahington and Monroe bagged

Finally was able to get a group and weather to work together to make it to the top. Perfect hiking weather (although the top of Washington was covered in clouds on tues) made it up tuckermans in about 3 1/2 hrs. After relaxing there and catching a quick break in the clouds we continued on to lake of the clouds and dropped pack and ran up monroe. Beautiful view untill 3 minutes later when another gigantic cloud came over us and did not leave untill we were almost at the base of the mountain. Great time and I now feel ready to hit a Presi Traverse within a month.

Congrats! FYI - we have a group forming for a Presi Traverse on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend - weather permitting.
