Wall Arch Collapsed

I came across this article that the Wall Arch in Arches National Park has collapsed.

Just to add to what I just posted above is this link to photos of my visit to

He said it was the first collapse of a major arch in the park since nearby
Landscape Arch in 1991.

Landscape Arch is still standing. Some rock fell from it in 1991 and 1995. http://www.naturalarches.org/big9-1.htm

When I last visited, the area underneath was roped off.

Yes, I noticed the mistake in the article but I didn't think it detracted from the main focus that Wall Arch caved in. I updated my original post with a better article (then I realized it is a duplicate of the article Doug linked to - sorry) and accompanying before/after photos. By the Way, Landscape Arch is within 1/2 mile of Wall Arch on the same Indian Garden/Primitive Loop Trail in Arches National Park.
