date: 1/31/09
trails: jewell, gulfside, trinity heights, crawford (sort of, but not really), ammonoosuc ravine
conditions: mostly wanted to post that jewell and ammo were both broken out to treeline today by various groups. above treeline was mix of drifts, rock, ice. very poor visibility with cold winds. any tracks made were soon wiped clean.
equipment: full above treeline gear. we wore snowshoes all day.
comments: the plan was a southern presidential traverse, but washington had different plans for us today. i'm sure big earl will post a trip report soon. despite the difficult conditions it was still great to be out hiking with everyone today.
