Washington Post: Two Timber Firms Pretending To Be 'Green,' Groups Allege

An interesting article in today's Washington Post: Article. One of two companies accused of misusing their "Green Certification" is Plum Creek, one of Maine's biggest Forestry companies.

Anyone from Maine know of the alleged violations as mentioned in the article? What's their rep among Maine conservationists?

Interesting, thanks for the heads up. Plum Creek recently purchased most of Mead Westvaco's timber lands here in MI. I noticed the change while looking at a platt book a couple weeks ago. Mead did a good job up here, I wonder what this new company may have in store....

plum creek is (from what I've heard) more of a development company than a timber company.

MEEPI does have its own slant but they do stay fact-oriented (vs. editorializing)
