I’m planning a trip as a two night campout to do the traverse of Wittenberg, Cornell and Slide with a 2 car spot Aug 17th – 19th. We will be leaving one car at the Slide PA then driving over and starting the hike from Woodland Valley. I have done the hike many times in all seasons and know the trail well, but this time I’m doing it with a young lady and want to take our time and spend time taking pictures and getting away from the crowds a bit.
It will be 2 of us and just want to take our time and enjoy the hike plus find off beat spots to camp off the trail, my question is: Has anyone been that way in the past few days and know if the springs are running enough to provide drinking water? We do filter I’m just wondering if they’ll be enough along the way so we can cut down how much we need to carry.
