Looking for photogenic waterfalls within an hour's hike from the Appalachia trailhead.
Any ideas and accompanying photos greatly appreciated.

Got an AMC map? There are several. Take the Fallsway or Brookbank Trail from Appalachia to get to 3. Gordon, Solroc, and Tama Falls. Back-track to Slyvan Way and take that to Howker Ridge Tr. to Coosauk Falls. Probably could get to them all within an hour.

Follow the Brookbank up to Valley Way and continue to Beechwood Way. Follow that downhill to the Amphibrach and take a left to the Memorial Bridge to see Cold Brook Falls. Turn around and follow the Amphibrach back to Appalachia.

From either Appalachia or Howker Ridge Trailheads find your way to Sylvan Way/Kelton Trail Jct with Howker Ridge Trail. AMC Guide will explain where Stairs, Coosauk, and Hitchcock Falls are located along Bumpus Brook. Other interesting water features there too.
Here are photos of Stairs, Hitchcock and an unnames slab pool:

Thanks for the reminder of how pretty these falls are.

Everyone is usually in too much of a hurry going up Valley Way!
