Trail Conditions: a surprising amount of light fluffy powder ranging from 2-4 inches down below to 6-10 inches up high with some drifting.. Blazes are getting lower on the trees..all the summer wet spots frozen over. No blowdowns of any issue though there are a couple of well defined detours along the ridge around a couple
Equipment: snowshoes all the way today and they were perfect in perfect snowshoe conditions.. Cold so the puffy came out for a showing today
Comments: wind and temp alert kept us low today.. Pleased to find the nice soft snow for the ascent where we followed Stacey and friend who with their early start did a nice job breaking trail.. Displeased to find a pair of postholers coming up the trail at around 3000 feet leaving destruction in their wake..You get used to seeing these guys with their snowshoes on their packs...these 2 chose to use them as poles...go figure...snowmobile parking lot and the spot by the store both plowed out
