Trail conditions: Variable and will be changing overnight I am sure but today..some wet and muddy spots as you ascend the logging road. Light snow cover which got deeper on good trailbed all way to summit. A couple of slippy spots..2 inches of snow at summit.
Equipment: light rain then steady moderate snow had us in gortex and waterproof boots..no traction needed today
Cooments: late start and early finish made this a good post turkey feast hike in inclement weather.. Quite pleased to be hiking mostly in snow rather than rain as predicted. Summer parking lot open, roads coming back through Twin Mountain were snow covered and the plows were out..while it has been a gift november for hiking it was good to see the snow and to enjoy the quiet beauty.. Saw a group of 8 and a soloist today..
