Trails: Some ice, mostly avoidable. Largest ice patches on Webster Cliff Trail between Jackson and Webster. Few (5-6) blowdowns, easily gotten over/around.
Equipment: I did not bother to use the poles or traction devices I was carrying. Either or both might have been useful on the Webster Cliff Trail section.
Note: This route requires a fair amount of agility for hikers without opposable thumbs. I was hiking with my two young mutts and a friend's 7-year-old golden retriever. The golden retriever needed assistance on some of the steeper rocky sections of this route. We did fine; but I would not have wanted to be doing this route with an older dog or a heavier one not accustomed to rock scrambles.
