Welches in Gorham has reopened

For those who want breakfast options in Gorham NH, Welches on Main street is reopening after being closed for several years. Looks like similiar menu during the week, open at 6 am and the Sunday brunch.

A lot more seating than J's or the Moonbeam, assuming the staff can keep up with the orders it may be a bit quicker.

We have to give J's its due, though. At the September Gathering, they seated 25 of us, served up breakfast as ordered, and smiled throughout.

Here's a vote for the Moonbeam Cafe on Exchange St in Gorham. Awesome food and the best bread you'll ever have served up by really good people. Not cheap, but real quality stuff.

How's Welch's holding up?

Welches is still open and just went through the busy season of the year (leaf peepers). They still put on a fine meal and have plenty of uncrowded seating.

My perception is that they do a lower volume than previously, then again its been a rough tourist season this summer. It will be interesting to see how they (and the other local places) survive until business picks up for ski season.

Currently the places I know of for breakfast in Gorham are Welches, Moonbeam Cafe , Salt, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Burger King, White Mountain Cafe, J's and the truck stop next to Shaws. Possibly Cactus Jack's.
