West Bond- Finishing the 48

Well I finally did it. My last peak. After 37 years, I have them done.
We had a tremendous day to do this VERY long day hike over to West Bond. We started at 7:55 am on Zealand Rd and went over to West Bond on what I would say was one of the nicest clearest days I have ever spent in the Whites . We finished up at 8:40pm.

The veiws were terrific. Especially from Guyot and West Bond. This is a very long hike but well worth it.


I want to thank all you guys for motivating me to get them done (each week I read about more people finishing up)

Congratulations! It was indeed a beautiful day out there yesterday (could you see me waving?) and West Bond is a gorgeous peak to finish on!

Now you can do the Maine and Vermont 4000-footers ...

It was a great day out there...and a superb peak to finish on! I was with cantdog and Rols on the Bonds yesterday and you could not have asked for a better day!
