Laurie and I did just a little peakpagging on our days off from 12/21 - 1/2:

12/21 - Fir and Big Indian - 10 miles - 2500'
12/22 - Balsam, Haynes, Eagle - 9 miles - 3000'
12/24 - Sugarloaf and Plateau - 6 miles - 2700'
12/27 - Street and Nye - 10 miles - 3000'
12/28 - Whiteface and Esther - 12 miles - 3500'
12/31 - Goodnow fire tower - 4 miles - 1200'
1/1 - Bearden, Dial and Nippletop - 14 miles - 4800'
1/2 - Owl's Head fire tower - 6 miles - 1500'

8 hikes - 16 Peaks - 71 Miles - 22,200 Total feet of elevation gain!

Boy, are my legs tired! :eek: :D

Pinpin, I'm not sure all that work made me a faster hiker, just a sore hiker! :D

I need a vacation from my vacation! :eek: :D

I must say the weather cooperated pretty well the first 2 weeks of Winter. Not to mention all the people who broke trail for us as well! But we did manage to break about 12 miles ourself; sometimes just the 2 of us, and other times with larger groups.

It was a great way to spend a vacation!
