White Ledge via White Ledge Trail
Date of Hike: Thursday, April 30, 2009
Trail Conditions: Mostly dry ground
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments:
Parked at the northern (Route 16) trailhead. Sign still missing, but 'Campground Ahead' sign marks the entrance.
Hiked the loop, counterclockwise. Trail is snow and ice free and mostly dry. Water crossings are no problem.
Black flies are out down low! Leaves are out as well!
Grouse is patrolling the summit area - left me alone, but appears to think highly of itself - beware!
Removed a bunch of blowdowns - a few axe-necessary ones remaining, but easily stepped over/around.
