Trail was dry until about 1/2 mile to Ester and then walked the monorail to Ester and Whiteface. Woods were clear of snow and edges of trail clear. Used crampons last 1/2mile to Whiteface but probably not necessary. Cold nasty wind on top with fresh ice from a rain the night before. Snow will be gone in a couple weeks. Trail gets a lot of sun.
