My gut is telling me no... but my gut is also very
I already posted this in my Trail Conditions report on White Cap, Kennebago Divide, and Cupsuptic Snow, but it is probably worth mentioning here, too.

The formerly unnamed road that runs up the west side of Little Kennebago Lake that connected Lincoln Pond Road with Wiggle Brook Road and allowed access to Bear Brook Road without having to wade across Wiggle Brook from Canada Road is now itself signed as Wiggle Brook Road. There is also a sign along that stretch for Sol Brook Road. You can see Sol Brook on your DeLorme atlas.

The signs and slight changes in the landscape from what I remember from last year caused me some confusion and consternation when I was driving there last week, so I thought I should mention the change to the name of the road. The roads are the same, only their names have been altered. There is still no sign for Bear Brook Road, but it is the left before the brook.

Paradox, if you are heading up to Cupsuptic Pond (to tackle Boundary Peak from the south) or Porter Brook (to climb White Cap and Kennebago Divide from the west), I suggest you take Wiggle Brook Road all the way around, rather than take Burnt Mountain Road to Camp Road or Big Canyon Road, or wahtever it's called.

There was a washout between two of the bridges at the far end of Burnt Mountain Road (past East Branch Road), and the third bridge (northernmost) banged the bottom of my car (a 1999 Corolla) both in climbing onto it and dropping off. It took me about 80 minutes to drive from the 22-mile mark on Wiggle Brook Road, where the logging road to the northern approach to Cupsuptic Snow begins, to Route 16 the Burnt Mountain Road way. It looks like it is longer in distance, but probably shorter in time and definitely easier on the car, to wind around by Little Kennebago Lake on Lincoln Pond Road and Wiggle Brook Road.

See my recent reports under Maine Trail Conditions, if you haven't already.

Last month I made it across those 3 bridges and washouts with my Ford Taurus BUT I would not recommend it. Like Raymond said, take the Wiggle Brook Rd.

Burnt Mountain Road is direct and driveable

if you have a high ground clearance SUV. I must say I gave three closely spaced bridges a very careful look-at because (from the decking) I think they were intended for snow machines rather than vehicuar traffic. The Widdle Brook road has been relocated to avoid the washout labelled as "Bernie's Bump."
